My 2 Year Old's Devotion to the Blessed Mother

I took this picture of my 2 year old daughter today while visiting my in-laws. All I could think of was, "Unless you become like little children, you will not see the Kingdom of God."

Cute.

How beautiful! God bless you and your family, especially your special, precious gifts from God...your children. Enjoy today's celebration at Mass! Happy Easter from San Antonio. YBIC (Your Brother in Christ)

Let us hope other children (and adults) learn from this fine example.

This is what Our Lady of America is looking for. All of Her children exhibiting a childlike faith.

Beautiful. I saw a child kissing the Holy Family Statue in Rome City last summer. This photo reminds me of that moment.

I pray that she remain always in love with our Blessed Mother. Our Lord would have kissed Mary with such love and devotion Himself. What would Mary have done? She would have wrapped her loving arms around Her son and whispered into His ears "I love you" and I am sure she did to your little girl! God bless you. Please pray for our troubled land of Sri Lanka. Marianne

That is just beautiful. Who says little children don't understand. This child does not understand in the same sense an adult does, but far beyond that, knows instinctively,by the Grace of God, who Mary is and also knows that she loves her very much and is not afraid to express that love. Children have that inner sense of what is good.

Thanks for all the kind words. It's good to know that there are so many of you out there who share a beautiful devotion to our Blessed Mother.

Bless you all.

Today in church there was a little boy standing in the upper foyer. A statue of Jesus was in the lower foyer and heavy glass doors separated the upper from the steps leading to the lower. The boy, about 2 years old, kept on telling his mom he wanted to go visit Jesus. While she wouldn't allow it and held him back from leaving when others passed through the doors, he was quite persistent. What faith in little children! "Let the little children come to me and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."

Hi, your photo gave me hope today.
I am praying about a call I feel to produce affordable images of Mary for the faithful so that they can have garden shrines, and Mary be enthroned there, and devotion increased thereby!
Your photo expresses the importance of these holy images in strengthening the faith of those who have access to them.
I am a parent too, thanks for sharing your photo.

My youngest son was he was about six months old was sleeping in my arms during mass. At the consecration he suddenly awoke stood in my arms and stretched his body up with his arms straight up in praise, I could feel him stretching as hard as he could as the priest raised the Eucharist. As soon as the priest placed the host back on the altar he laid back in my arms and went back to sleep. Become like little children, we all need to learn that lesson.

Yes, this is so precious! A little child will lead them - I think I heard Mother Angelica say that. My little 8 year old granddaughter wanted to stay in front of the tabernacle "forever", she said!

I had the same first impression as Krista when I saw this photo. This is exactly what Our Lady of America asked of all Her children in 1956 in Rome City, IN. It is no wonder it is the only canonically-approved apparition of the Virgin Mary on US soil. I hope Pope Benedict addresses this confirmation during his visit next month.

If you have never been to Rome City, I highly suggest it. It is much more affordable than traveling to Lourdes and you get the same benefits. Trust me, I no longer require crutches to walk after praying on Holy Family Hill and dipping in the spring waters there.

Have a blessed day!

I, too have been to Rome City, and am taking some friends with me next month when I go back. Like Chris, since my visit last summer, I have not needed the motorized wheelchair I purchased, the walker I took with me on my visit, or the cane I initially used 5 years ago. But most of all miracles abound there and Our Lady has asked that we bring Her her children. "Bring me all my children." The peace and presence of the Holy Spirit are palpable.
If you have ever wanted to go on a pilgrimage to Medjugorge or Lourdes, do yourself a favor and visit Rome City, Indiana instead. Our Lady is waiting to give you what you need.
Devoted to Our Lady of America,

The messages posted here by "Chris Benoit" and "Pam J" are nothing more than spam. This same jerk uses the name "rickybobby" on other sites. Actually, the people promoting Rome City, IN as "holy ground" are nothing more than thieves and swindlers. Specifically, AL LAANGSENKAMP and KEVIN MCCARTHY, bot of Indianapolis, IN are responsible for promoting their own for-profit version of the true devotion to Our Lady of America. AL & KEVIN infiltrated the Our LAdy of America Center at Fostoria, OH, which is operated by Sister Mary Joseph Therese, who lived with Sister illie, the visionary, for 37 years in the convent. In 2005, AL & KEVIN, toherwise known as the SHARKS, moved in and "volunteered." In short order, they swindled all of her monwy from Sister Joseph Therese; they stole money from thew estate of Sister Mille, the visionary (likely to one day be a Saint); they stole venerated religious objects, including the origianl statue of Our Lady of America; they took control of the website oof Our Lady of America Center and have diverted all donations from the faithful from Fostoria, OH to the LANGSENKAMP FAMILY APOSTOLATE (Modeled after the apostolate of Judas Iscariot) and the "B.V.M., Inc." (Blessed Virgin Mary, Inc.) THey are making flase claims about miraculous healings, sights, and wonders at Rome City, IN because they own a piece of that too. The idea is to promote theirf version of the devotion to Our LAdy of America; have the Church declare the Rome City site a shrine, and then to sell the Rome City property to the Curch for an amount of moeny 10 times its true value.

THES GUYS, LANGSENKAMP & MCCARTHY, and their associates, are nothing more than common thieves. Pleass do not purchase "devotional" items from these g]tgieves (which they alkso stole from the Our Lady of America Center).

If you truly have a deviton to the Blessed Mother as Our Lady of America, kindly contact the Our Lady of America Center, Fostoria, OH, operated by Sister Mary Jose[h Therese a Catholic Nun, who has been victimized by LANGSENKAMP & MCARTHY!

Please ignore the comments made by anonymous. This same person has posted on oltiv.org. with such defamatory and false comments that the moderator had to delete them. My only goal is to spread the news of this devotion, and let others know about the holy ground in Rome City. Mr. Langenskamp and Mc Carthy are not affiliated with this place. I do not know Mr. Langenskamp or McCarthy and have no affiliation with them –I am aware of their website (ourladyofamerica.org.) which has been working with the Bishops to spread the devotion to Our Lady of America and have a statue enthroned in the National Shrine in D.C.(as Our Lady requested). I believe the anonymous poster is making these accusatory statements in response to correspondence with Archbishop Burke and Bishop Blair who has called for a public apostolate to spread the message of Our Lady of America. However, Bishop Blair does ask the two men from Indianapolis to clarify the status of the Our Lady of America center in Fostoria, Ohio. According to a letter from Bishop Blair, the woman stating she is a nun and sole authenticated source for Our Lady of America is not a nun and does not live in a convent. The Bishop has asked her to stop misrepresenting herself as Sr. M. Joseph Therese. The documents from Bishop Blair can be found at both oltiv.org. and ourladyofamerica.org. Archbishop Burke’s statement that whether or not this woman was a nun or lived in a convent had no bearing on the authenticity of the devotion, is also available to the public on these websites.

My goal is only to tell others about my experiences at Rome City and spread devotion to Our Lady of America. I pray the Bishops will soon enthrone her statue and make a public statement on devotion to Our Lady of America. I will not respond any further re: anonymous, and pray that this person finds peace.

“By Thy Holy and Immaculate Conception O Mary, deliver us from evil.”
